Meet Your Music Teacher
Hi, I'm Kareen! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music, along with qualifications from ABRSM, Trinity College London and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. I've been teaching music for 15 years, with experience in Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore.
Over the years, I've taught students from beginners to advanced levels, each with different personalities, learning needs and goals. As every student learns differently, I plan lessons according to their learning pace and individual needs, with a focus on music reading, technique and strong musical foundations.
Whether preparing for examinations, performances or simply learning for enjoyment, I believe it's important for students to understand what they're playing, rather than just playing the right notes. Progress takes time, patience and consistent practice.
Beyond lessons and examinations, music is something students can carry with them throughout their lives.
Lessons are available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
